Little (big) update!

Well, here's the rub. I'm getting kicked out of my shop. Yup, the building is getting sold. You can tell I'm not bitter, right?

Listen, I always knew at some point I would have to find a new spot. I was just hoping that I could have one year of relatively knowing what the fuck I'm doing before I added finding real estate to the ever-growing to-do list of a small business owner. Who am I kidding though? I'm an entrepreneur, of course the rug is going to be pulled out from under my feet the second I start to feel comfortable. Just par for the course.

So, what now?

I think a community printshop sounds like a cool idea.

Yeah, a community printshop. Like, a space where we can all create? Come to learn woodblock, linocut, monoprint, and screen-printing, and then make whatever the fuck you want to with your new skill. The equipment, supplies, materials would all be provided. There would be open studio hours, group classes, and special art focused events held throughout the year. A library of art books, movies, and literature from my personal collection would be available to all members to check-in and out.

A place for us all to gather, create, and learn.

Of course, this requires me finding a space. Preferably, one that I can afford. Preferably, one that has a/c and heating. Preferably, one that has water. Are those things too much to ask? In Wilmington? Is that so hard?! I just want a place large enough for some biggggggggggggg ass tables.

God, I miss a big ass table.

I have to be out by the end of June, but I'm going to take it slow. Move into the garage in the meantime...while I hunt for the right spot.

So, now that it's all out there, if you want to help out, all apparel in the shop is currently 50% off (except Appalachia). Help a girl out and go buy something to both help with the expense of moving and retrofitting my garage, but also, help me by giving me one less thing to pack?

I hate packing. Please help me pack by buying something and I'll build you a big ass table in return.
